<Visit to IRSST, Canada and participation in a training course>
President Higashi, Assist. Prof. Yamada and Assist. Prof. Yamamoto of School of Health Sciences visited Montreal on May 25, and paid a courtesy visit to President Marie Larue of the Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST) which is one of the leading resaearch institutes in occupational health in Canada. IRSST is also designated as the WHO Collaborating Centre on Occupational Health by WHO as well as the Institute of Industrial Ecological Sciences of UOEH.
Both Assist. Prof. Yamada and Assist. Prof. Yamamoto pariticpated in a training course at IRSST, University of Montreal, Mcgil University and other institutes until June 11. The program included research on occupational health system in Canada, training and qualification system for occupational health professionals in Canada, study on education system at Canadian universities etc..
We greatly appreciate our Canadian counterparts to organize such a fruitful program for our colleagues. We hope to start interinstitutional collaborations in the near future.
