<UOEH Institute of Industrial Ecological Sciences was redesignated as a WHO Collaborating Centre for Occupational Health>
The Institute of Industrial Ecological Sciences of UOEH, Japan has been redesignated as a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre for Occupational Health (WHO-CC for Occupational Health) by WHO on 6 January 2021. The institute will be a WHO Collaborating Centre (WHO-CC) for four years as from 23 July 2020.

The Institute of Industrial Ecological Sciences has been appointed as a WHO-CC for Occupational Health since 1988, and has engaged in various activities to promote occupational health especially in the Asian region.
As for a recent activity as a WHO-CC, Professor Yasuo Morimoto, Director of the Institute of Industrial Ecological Sciences and Dr. Odgerel Chimed-Ochir (lecturer) participated in an online workshop “The International Conference on COVID-19: Management and prevention at workplace” organized by WHO Collaborating Centres in the Western Pacific Region (WPRO) on 23 June 2020. The participants shared current and past situation and official guidelines on prevention of COVID-19 at workplace of each participating country, namely Japan, Korea, Mongolia, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos PDR.
