<Medical Education Exchange Program 2018>

UOEH sent sixth year students to the Universities in Taiwan and Korea from May 13th to 26th as the Medical Education Exchange Program 2018 based on the MOU with each university. Students greatly appreciate this opportunity including the program and the hospitality kindly provided by the universities.

2018 [8th] MOU was signed with Nopparat Rajathanee Hospital, Thailand (Posted on Jun. 11) 

<MOU was signed with Nopparat Rajathanee Hospital, Thailand>

A delegation from Nopparat Rajathanee Hospital, Thailand headed by Dr. Somsak Akksilp of Director General of Department of Medical Services, Ministry of Public Health and Dr. Somboon Tosborvorn, Director of the Hospital visited UOEH for the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding between Nopparat Rajathanee Hospital and UOEH. The MOU aims at promoting collaboration between the two institutes especially on hosting short training courses for post-graduate students. The delegation also participated in a campus tour including the university hospital and the Institute of Industrial Ecological Sciences (IIES).

2018 [9th] Visit to IRSST, Canada and participation in a training course (Posted on July 17, 2018) 

＜Visit to IRSST, Canada and participation in a training course＞

President Higashi, Assist. Prof. Yamada and Assist. Prof. Yamamoto of School of Health Sciences visited Montreal on May 25, and paid a courtesy visit to President Marie Larue of the Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail (IRSST) which is one of the leading resaearch institutes in occupational health in Canada. IRSST is also designated as the WHO Collaborating Centre on Occupational Health by WHO as well as the Institute of Industrial Ecological Sciences of UOEH.

Both Assist. Prof. Yamada and Assist. Prof. Yamamoto pariticpated in a training course at IRSST, University of Montreal, Mcgil University and other institutes until June 11. The program included research on occupational health system in Canada, training and qualification system for occupational health professionals in Canada, study on education system at Canadian universities etc..

We greatly appreciate our Canadian counterparts to organize such a fruitful program for our colleagues. We hope to start interinstitutional collaborations in the near future.
