2014 [7th] Seminar by Dr. Machida from WHO-WPRO
＜Seminar by Dr. Machida from WHO-WPRO was held＞
Seminar titled “Introduction of WHO-WPRO and its functions” was made by Dr. Munehito Machida from WHO Western Pacific Regional Office on Monday, May 19.
It contained not only the overview of WHO and WHO-WPRO, also concrete actions, actions of Japanese government, and he expressed his expectation that more Japanese to work for international organizations.
2014 [8th] MOU was signed with the Asbestos Diseases Research Institute, Australia (Delivered on Oct. 15, 2014)
On September 1, 2014, Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Institute of Industrial Ecological Sciences (IIES), UOEH and Asbestos Diseases Research Institute (ADRI), University of Sydney, Australia.
Prof. Seichi Horie, Director of IIES, Prof. Ken Takahashi, Director of International Center and Prof. Nico van Zandwijk, Director of ADRI attended the sigining ceremony which was held at IIES, UOEH. They all look forward to the collaboration between institutes in the near future.
ADRI is the national institute which was established in 2009 in order to improve the prevention, the diagnosis and treatment of asbestos-related diseases in Australia.
