2015 [2nd] Implementation of SAKURA Exchange Program in Science, JST (Posted on Feb. 18, 2015)

<UOEH hosted the students from Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences>

Based on SAKURA Exchange Program in Science, Japan-Asia Youth Exchange Program in Science Promotion provided by Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST), UOEH hosted 9 graduate students and 2 faculty staff members from Shandong Academy of Medical Sciences, China from February 1 to 8.

Starting with the orientation with President Higashi, the program included lectures from several departments and tours both in and out of school. Many questions raised from the students proved their eagerness to learn a lot through this program. Also, their expectations toward this program seemed to be very high both educationally and culturally since it was the first trip abroad for most of the students.

Despite lasting only a week, it was indeed a meaningful program to deepen our understanding of each other. We sincerely hope this program leads to future collaboration/cooperation not only as researchers but over the borders of institutions and countries.

Lastly, we sincerely appreciate JST's warm support for this program.
