Prof. Yasuo Morimoto, Director of the Institute of Industrial Ecological Sciences/Department of Pneumology and Dr. Odgerel Chimed-Ochir, Department of Environmental Epidemiology attended the Third Regional Forum of WHO Collaborating Centres in the Western Pacific Region held in Ho Chi Minh city in Vietnam on November 22-23, 2018. They gave a poster presentation regarding UOEH activities as a WHO collaborating center. This forum provides participating WHO collaboration centres with opportunities to share good practices such as success stories and effective collaborations.

After that, they contributed to WHO workshop on occupational lung disease which was held in Hanoi on November 26-27, 2018 by providing lectures. Approximately thirty occupational health specialists participated in the workshop, and attended lectures on patho-physiological and diagnostic issues of occupational lung diseases and the practical training session of reading X-ray films. Members of the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, Japan and Catholic University of Korea also provided lectures.

2019 [2nd] Annual meeting with the Graduate School of Occupational Health, the Catholic University of Korea (Posted on Mar. 28, 2019)

<Annual meeting with the Graduate School of Occupational Health, the Catholic University of Korea>

Twelve members of the Institute of Industrial Ecological Sciences (IIES) visited the Graduate School of Occupational Health, the Catholic University of Korea for the annual meeting 2018 from January 17 to 18, 2019. This yearly program is implemented based on the agreement on academic cooperation, which was signed in February 2003 between IIES and the Graduate School of Occupational Health, the Catholic University of Korea. The participants from both institutions participated in a meeting to introduce their research activities to each other and a factory tour followed.

<Gacheon University, Korea visited UOEH>

The delegation from Gacheon University, Korea headed by Prof. Seong-Kyu Kang visited UOEH in order to learn research activities of the Institute of Industrial Ecological Sciences (IIES) from January 24 to 25, 2019. The delegation visited all twelve departments at IIES in two days and had meetings with UOEH faculty members.
