According to THE Young University Rankings 2020 released by Times Higher Education on June 24, UOEH ranked 79th in the world and 1st in Japan. In total, 414 universities that are 50 years old or younger were listed in the rankings. According to THE, “The Young University Rankings are based on the same metrics as the THE World University Rankings. But the weightings are recalibrated to reflect young universities’ missions, with less emphasis on reputational surveys and more on factors such as research productivity, staff-student ratios, institutional income and doctoral education.”

2020 [11th] UOEH received highest score for Citations marked top in the world, and has been ranked 5th in Japan in THE World University Rankings 2021 (Posted on Sep. 24, 2020)

Times Higher Education (THE) announced this year’s World University Rankings on September 2, 2020.

 

This year, as the 17th year of the rankings, Times Higher Education published a ranking of more than 1500 institutions from 93 countries around the world. 116 Japanese universities are ranked in total. 

 

UOEH has been ranked 351-400th, and 5th in Japan which makes the university as the 1st in private Japanese universities being ranked in the rankings. 

 

 

Also UOEH received the highest score (100.0 for full score) for Citations which marked the world’s top in this criteria. In the last year’s rankings (2020), UOEH scored 99.8 for Citations (the 10th of the world in this criteria).

 

THE World University Rankings is based on the performance indicators that measure each universities’ performance in teaching, research and its influence, knowledge transfer and international outlook.[1]

2020 [12th] UOEH ranked 6th in Japan and 1st of private Japanese universities in THE World University Rankings 2021 by subject: Clinical and Health (Posted on Nov. 18, 2020)

THE World University Rankings 2021 by subject: clinical and health was released on October 28. UOEH was ranked 151-175th of 856 universities globally and it has improved its previous ranking position as it was ranked 176-200th in the same rankings of 2020. UOEH ranked the 6th of Japanese university in the rankings.

  

The rankings also revealed that UOEH has been ranked the top of private Japanese universities for the second straight year. There are 6 universities including UOEH ranked within the top 200 for Clinical and Health, and 74 Japanese universities are listed in the rankings.

  

According to THE, the World University Rankings 2021 by subject for clinical and health has employed the same data indicators used for the World University Rankings 2021 with recalibrated measurement methodology to suit the individual fields.

  

The World University Rankings were calculated based on the 13 performance indicators in 5 key criteria such as Teaching, Research, Citations, International Outlook and Industry Income.
