An entrance ceremony for one of the graduate students from Vietnam under Asia International Occupational Health Program of UOEH was held on December 4. President Otsuji and Professor Tanaka, Dean of Graduate School of Medical Science attended the ceremony.

 

The ceremony was organized on arrival of student due to the immigration policy of denial of landing to prevent the spread of COVID-19 has been canceled partially. On holding the ceremony, several anti-virus measures were taken.

 

With this ceremony, a total of two international students, who were scheduled to be accepted into this program this year, have successfully enrolled.

 

While mentioning the worldwide pandemic, president Otsuji said in the welcoming address, “I am happy that we have both of this year’s students despite all adversities we have faced.”

 

"Asia International Occupational Health Program" aims at
 -Training international students with Japanese students to be an internationally successful researcher
 -Improving quality of research activities under high competitive environment
 -Building a future research network for the international collaboration in the field of Occupational Health
 
This is the 13th year since we accepted the first group of students under this program in 2007.

2020 [14th] Online teleconference seminar 2020: International Environmental and Occupational Health Program (Posted on Dec. 22, 2020)

From September 15 to December 15, this year’s teleconference seminar: International Environmental and Occupational Health Program was held online.


UOEH participated in 11 lectures through this year’s series of teleconference seminar while connecting with 4 other international sites: National Taiwan University (main site), Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Khon Kaen University (Thailand) and Singapore National University during each session. Lecturers from each site provided lectures primarily on occupational and environmental health from international perspectives.


Four of UOEH academics gave lectures for the teleconference seminar this year. Details are as follows:
