2021 [4th] UOEH ranked 7th in Japan and 1st of private Japanese universities in THE World University Ranking 2022 (Posted on Sept. 7, 2021)


<Times Higher Education (THE) announced this year’s World University Rankings on September 2, 2021.>

 

According to the World University Rankings 2022 released by Times Higher Education on September 2, UOEH has been ranked 401-500th, and 7th in Japan which makes the university as the 1st in private universities being ranked in the rankings.


This year, 1662 universities from 99 countries, including 118 Japanese univerisities has been ranked in total. THE World University Rankngs is based on the performance indicators that measure each universities' performance in 5 key criteria such as Teaching, Research, Citations (research influence), International Outlook and Industry Income.


Also, UOEH received the score of 97.8 (100.0 for full score) for Citations which marked the 44th of the world but No.1 in Japan.

According to THE World University Rankings 2022 by subject: clinical and health released by Times Higher Education on September 16, UOEH ranked 6th in Japan, 1st among Japanese private universities and 201-250th globally.

In total, 925 universities globally including 76 Japanese universities were listed in the rankings. According to THE, “The 2022 Times Higher Education World University Rankings table for clinical and health subjects uses the same trusted and rigorous performance indicators as the overall World University Rankings, but the metric weightings have been recalibrated to suit the individual fields”. The World University rankings were calculated based on the 13 performance indicators in 5 key criterias such as Teaching, Research, Citations, International Outlook and Industry Income.
