2022 [3rd] Entrance ceremony for the graduate student of Asia International Occupational Health Program (Posted on April 19, 2022) 


<Entrance ceremony for the graduate student of Asia International Occupational Health Program of 2022>


The entrance ceremony for one graduate student from Vietnam and 2 students from Vietnam and China, who were supposed to start last April, under the Asia International Occupational Health Program was held on April 13. President Yutaka Otsuji and Prof. Yoshiya Tanaka, Dean of Graduate School of Medical Science welcomed them and hosted the ceremony.

While mentioning the worldwide pandemic, President Otsuji said in the welcoming address, “I am very happy to welcome all of you, especially those students finally entered Japan and joined UOEH.”


 "Asia International Occupational Health Program" aims at

 -Training international students with Japanese students to be an internationally successful researcher

 -Improving quality of research activities under high competitive environment

 -Building a future research network for the international collaboration in the field of Occupational Health

 

This is the 14th year since we accepted the first group of students under this program in 2007.

2022 [4th] Lectures at WHOCC workshop organized by NIOEH, Vietnam (Posted on May 2, 2022)

<The 10th National Scientific Conference and NIOEH 40th Anniversary Celebration>


WHOCC online (hybrid) workshop organized by the National Institute of Occupational and Environmental Health (NIOEH) of Vietnam was held in Vietnam. It contributes to the respiratory protection of workers in Vietnam by sharing the good practices in Japan and Korea. Over 300 participants from Departments of Health, CDCs, governmental agencies, hospitals, institutes, etc in Vietnam and speakers from Japan, Korea and USA attended the workshop.

Prof. Yasuo Morimoto (Department of Pneumology), Prof. Akira Ogami (Department of Work Systems and Health) and Assoc. Prof. Tomohiro Ishimaru (Department of Environmental Epidemiology) attended and gave lectures on preventive measures against COVID-19 in the Japanese workplace, occupational health management for dust workplace and personal protective equipment (PPE), especially in respiratory protection in Japan.

This workshop was held as a part of a national scientific conference for 40 years anniversary of NIOEH establishment.
