40th Anniversary Academic Conference of Nopparat Rajathanee Hospital was held on August 25 to 26, 2022 with theme of "Transform in the New Normal".  Assoc. Prof. Tomohiro Ishimaru (Dept. of Environmental Epidemiology) was invited as a guest speaker and provided a lecture as title of "Measures against COVID-19 in the Japanese workplace: Leveraging technology".

The topic is Digitalized Occupational Medicine, talked about experiences in using IT to apply in routine Occupational Health Service in Japan.

Approximately 400 participants (onsite:100, online:300) joined, and the conference was very successful.

2022 [9th] UOEH ranked 11th in Japan and 1st of private Japanese universities in THE World University Ranking 2023 (Posted on Oct. 12, 2022)

<Times Higher Education (THE) announced this year’s World University Rankings on October 12, 2022>

According to the World University Rankings 2023 released by Times Higher Education on October 12th, UOEH has been ranked 601-800th, and 11th in Japan which makes the university as the 1st in private universities being ranked in the rankings.

This year, 1799 universities from 104 countries, including 117 Japanese univerisities has been ranked in total. THE World University Rankings is based on the performance indicators that measure each universities' performance in 5 key criteria such as Teaching, Research, Citations (research influence), International Outlook and Industry Income.

According to THE World University Rankings 2023 by subject: clinical and health released by Times Higher Education on October 25, UOEH ranked 9th in Japan, 1st among Japanese private universities and 301-400th globally.

In total, 1001 universities globally including 74 Japanese universities were listed in the rankings. According to THE, “The 2023 Times Higher Education World University Rankings table for clinical and health subjects uses the same trusted and rigorous performance indicators as the overall World University Rankings, but the metric weightings have been recalibrated to suit the individual fields”. The World University rankings were calculated based on the 13 performance indicators in 5 key criterias such as Teaching, Research, Citations, International Outlook and Industry Income.
